Travelling to Spain from the UK

All passengers travelling to Spain from the UK for tourism must show valid proof of one of the following:

  • being fully vaccinated (with both does of a two-dose vaccine & booster if applicable or one dose of a one -dose vaccine) at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain (date(s) of vaccination must be specified)

  • a negative COVID-19 test: either PCR taken within 72 hours prior to departure, or an antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to departure.

  • having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months. You can also use a medical certificate or recovery record to prove your COVID-19 status on entry to Spain.

We recommend c19 Testing for all pre-departure tests - the link below will take you to their website:

c19 Testing

If you hold a EU Digital COVID certificate (DCC) or EU equivalent showing full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of an active infection diagnostic test or a certificate of recovery after passing the disease, then you are not required to complete the SPTH Health Control Form. You can check if your certificate is valid on the website - or on the Spanish Travel Health app for android or iOs devices.

Upon arrival at the airport follow the signals indicating the ORANGE WAY .

If you do not have the EU Digital COVID Certificate or EU equivalent, you must fill in the SPTH Health Control Form manually entering the data of your vaccination, recovery or diagnostic test certificate through the website  or on the Spanish Travel Health app for android or iOs devices.

The system will send you a QR code that you will have to present both prior boarding, and upon your arrival in Spain. In the health control, you may be required to present this document certifying vaccination, diagnostic test or recovery.

Upon arrival at the airport follow the signals indicating the BLUE WAY .

All passengers arriving must hold either a vaccination certificate or a recovery certificate recognised by the Spanish Health Ministry.

Vaccination certificates must have been issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin at least 14 days after the date of administration of the final dose of the complete (first) course of vaccination, as long as the final dose of that course of vaccination was no more than 270 days (9 months) ago. From that time, the certificate must show the administration of a booster vaccination (from 1 February 2022).

Certificate of a diagnostic test for COVID-19 with a negative result are accepted as follows:

PCR - with sampling within previous 72 hours of departure to Spain

RAT - with sampling within the previous 24 hours of departure to Spain

Recovery certificates accepted as valid are those ‘issued at least 11 days after the first positive PCR or Rapid Antigen Test, and up to a maximum of 180 days after the date of sampling’.

If you need to complete the the health control form, the above information along with your flight information and where you will be staying in Spain will be needed.
